Call for Abstracts Now Closed

Submission Deadline was 23:59 GMT Wednesday 31 January 2024

We invited abstracts for oral presentations, poster, symposiums and clinical workshops.

  • Oral - A 10 – 15-minute oral presentation by the author(s) (maximum presentation time is 15 minutes)
  • Poster - A visual presentation that will be displayed during poster sessions
  • Symposium - A 60-minute session with a maximum of three presenters on a common topic relevant to Advanced Practice. A coordinator/moderator may also be included but they will not be counted in the total number of presenters.
  • Clinical workshop - A 60-minute session focused on a clinical topic delivered in workshop format with the aim of instructing Advanced Practice Nurses.

  • The UK perspective –Multi-professional Advanced Practice (for UK delegates only and is open to other health professions with a recognised governance framework for advanced practice)

Assessment of Abstracts

All submissions will be subject to scientific review.  These will be assessed by two independent reviewers through an anonymous process.  This review criteria will be based on the quality of the submission and the relevance to the conference subthemes.  

Subtheme 8 (The UK perspective –Multi-professional Advanced Practice) is only open to UK delegates and is open to other health professions with a recognised governance framework for advanced practice and will be reviewed by members of the scientific review panel based in the UK.  

Please note that submissions may be recommended for another theme if this is deemed to be more appropriate through the scientific review process.  The scientific committee also reserves the right to alternative presentation formats (for example a poster) if the applicant is not successful within their chosen format. 

Important Information

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English only.
  • Work must be original and not have been presented elsewhere.
  • There is a limit of two abstracts per first submitting author, however, you can be a co-author of an unlimited number of abstracts.
  • All presentations must be delivered in English.
